S stand for Seat


S1 - the bidder bid for 1 Spade
S2 - A (lzr84)
S3 - bidder's p
S4 - B (partner of mine)

S1 & S3 is partner S2 & S4 is the other partner

The bidder bid 1 spade, S2 pass, S3 pass, S4 pass too.. so contract only 1 spade.. then the bidder likely to choose Ace or King..

To me i thought S4 is the bidder's partner but who know she my partner.. then i ask her why never raise the bid, then she said why she..... said to me: i want to bid i pass for what... haiz

sometime i thought the other two will bid but both of them passed.. likely the last person will be the bidder'p but end up becoome mine.... well the game we lost it~

what you all think? raise the bid or pass?? raise the bid to 2 also good mah... well i don't said who it is.. she level 11 one~

Well u cant blame the others, it is also your fault that you did not bid and it is not right to assume that the last person or the others should bid while you need not. In fact, i alway try to up the bid to 2 even let say i have king of that trump suit n i feel that the current bidder will be able to win up to 3, so i will even raise the bid. cuz there is still a likelyhood that he may call others, n by den i need to win 7sets with half of the strong trump cards on opponent hand. If i raise the bid, and he called me, well like i say we can win up to 3, so it is not an issue.

so i would up if my cards r ok.

bridge is a game where u bid to increase ur chances to win cos sometimes the cards are dealt such that u bo bian have to follow and lose one...

in your case u cant blame anyone but yourself... how can u "expect" others to bid since u dont know what cards they have?

put yourself in their position, they must have a reason to pass the bid

the way u think is flawed... the last seat to pass a small bid means that seat is the bidder's partner?

lastly level means next to nothing in this game.. it doesnt measure how "pro" u are, it just measures how many exp u have gained thats all (its like if ur skill is only average, but u play 24/7 u sure high level de)

well i think a contract of one is very easy to win... the last man to pass, likely will be the bidder's partner..

if i am the last man, the bidder bid spade where as i have only two spade and likely he will not call me.. so i will raise the bid to 2...

you see if i am the last man, i don't bid i got the high chances of losing the game.. but if you bid you have raise the number and might have a chance to win if your partner hold good cards.. raise to two is good enough.. i can see that the contract most of the time is 2 or higher one..

you tell me what is consider small bid? 1 spade, heart, diamond and club not small????

if you are the last seat and holding 2 or 3 small club while the contract is club, do u pass it? then i can confirm to say you sure lose one.. but if you try to raise the bid to 2.. you might have a chance to win.. seriously 1 bid is very easy to win one.. unless the bidder bid for fun then it is difference story..

u said yourself that the bid was 1 spade and since the last seat passed it, u thought that the last seat was the bidder's partner am i not wrong?

I did not bid cos i cannot bid with the cards that i have.

If u dunwant to bid and u lose, dun blame others for not bidding. Why shld the last person bid JUST BECAUSE noone else wanna bid?

this game has no fixed way of playing.
people do what they deemed as best way.

the last person before Bidder might not wanna bid because of several reasons. not neccessary he/she know that he/she will be called.

also does not mean that 2 people who try to outbid each other will become on opposite teams. i saw this case whereby after i tried to outbid and gave up at contract 3 and still i was being called to be partner.

just my point of view.......

(also i did not play bridge before in real life or other sites. viwawa was the 1st place i play bridge at. so i learn from what i observed. then try to make amendments along the way. like i used to think we can ask who is partner lol. as this was what i saw in my first few games lol. then i hear people commenting that its cheating. but to me it was not.... was just a different way of playing.....)
