What is Wahlords about?
Wahlords is a battle strategy game. Each player controls a wawa moving around on a map, plotting attacks on other players.

How many players?
2 to 4 players. Different number of players will result in different map sizes, from 9x9, 11x11 to 13x13 respectively.

How to win the match?
The last standing wawa wins!

How do we attack then?
Attacks are done by laying bombs or magical items on the map. Each attack affects different areas around the item and can have different damages and purposes.

How many attacks can we bring into the match?
By default, a player can bring in 5 different attacks. At higher levels, there are items to increase this limit.

How many attacks can I use in a single turn?
Each player can use 2 attacks per turn, limited by the AP remaining. This limit increases for every 10 levels, but will stop increasing when a certain level is reached.

What are hit points (HP)?
Hit points (HP) is an indicator of your life in the game. Once your HP reaches 0, your wawa is dead and you lose the game.

What are action points (AP)?
Each player controls a set of action points (AP) which are required to move around the map and place attacks. At the end of each round, half of your maximum AP will be restored. Use it wisely, store your AP to devise more complex moves!

Why is my AP different in every turn?
Your AP regenerates by half of the maximum at the start of every turn. After Armageddon starts, the AP maximum and regeneration will double.

Every player starts with 12 AP. This maximum can be increased by equipping items with bonus AP.

What terrains are there on the map and how do they affect my gameplay?
There are a variety of terrains available in Wahlords. We have a few pre-defined maps, consisting of terrains like plains, sand, grass, water, etc. Each terrain requires a specific number of AP to move across.

What are the required AP for each terrain?
Plains: 2
Grass: 3
Sand: 4
Water: 8
Lava: 100 (means you can't walk on lava now)
Hills: 6
Swamp: 6
Concrete: 2

Each player normally starts with 10 AP without bonuses. So plan your AP wisely!

I made a wrong move, can I undo?
So long as you've not clicked on the tick button, you can undo your move by hitting the Escape key.

What are obstacles?
Obstacles are objects that block our individual cells in the map, coming in the form of trees, bushes, rocks, etc. They will block your movement, and some of them can be blasted away. Your attacks will have specific damage ratings on obstacles, which are separate from damage ratings on players.

Can I upgrade my wawa?
As you progress in level, you will get to equip your wawa with newer items and clothes. Each item may grant you bonus attributes, such as HP, AP, attack, defence, and mobility bonus over different terrains.

What items can I change to upgrade my wawa?
At the moment, you are able to configure your wawa's hair, eyes, mouth, headgear, body/armor, legs/armor, weapon, shield, and transport. You can even set the color of your hair and eyes!

What kind of looks are there?
You will start off as a poor looking peasant/farmer. As you progress, you will get to equip yourself well to look like a real Wahlord!

Weapon? Shield? Can I use them??
Weapons and shields on the wawa are not exactly used in fighting, but will usually give attack/defence bonuses.

What is a transport?
Transports usually come in the form of animals that you ride on. They generally give you additional defence and special mobility characteristics over specific terrains.

What is Armageddon mode?
After a certain number of rounds, the match will enter armageddon mode and you will hear a different, faster paced music. For each of the following rounds onwards, the edges of the map will get blasted away. Any wawas standing on the edges of the map will then die instantly. The map will get smaller in each round until the match ends, or when it shrinks to 3x3.

During Armageddon mode, every players' AP maximum and regeneration rate will be doubled, and every player can place up to 6 attacks per turn.

How are the scores calculated?
Players gain points for inflicting damage on opponents, and bonus for dealing the kill. Damage dealt on yourself will result in a penalty. Suicidal cases will result in higher penalties. Sometimes, points are also awarded for destruction of obstacles.

If 2 players hit and kill another player in the same round, who gets the kill bonus?
The kill bonus will be divided equally.

How do you decide whether there will be a reset after the beta? What happens to the items we bought?
The game will be reset if players received distinct advantages over others due to flaws in the game during the beta phase. All items purchased will remain in the inventory, but can only be used after you achieve the required level.

To develop a new game from scratch within one month is not the norm. Some games take years to produce. So quite happy with current rate already..
