Having problems to count and estimate how many tais you have? Read through this page!!!! Currently I am still working on it 无法预测手中有多少(台),读下去 行了,有必要翻译,请通知一声,简 繁体都能 Notice Board Regardless how many hundreds tais you get, the maximum is 15 tais in Wahjong 无论你赢取多少(台),15(台)是极 限 How to Win? Wahjong (Mahjong) is a game for four players. Wahjong involves skill, strategy, and calculation, as well as a certain degree of luck. In the game, each player is dealt thirteen tiles in a hand. On their turn, players draw a tile and discard one, with the goal of making four melds and one pair(四个副顺子,刻子或杠子和一对同 的牌). Winning comes "on the draw" by drawing a new or taking discarded tile from opponents that completes the hand. Thus, a winning hand actually contains fourteen tiles. What is Melds? Melds consist of 1)Pong - a set of three identical tiles 2)Kong - a set of four identical tiles 3)Shang/Sheung (Chi/Chow) - three suited tiles in sequence What is Pair? Pair is any two identical tiles What is Tai? A minimum requirement of points you must achieve aside from scoring 4 melds and 1 pair How to count your tais? Common Questions
Why I cannot Shang/Sheung? Shang may only be declared off the discard of the player on the left. The only exception is when the player needs that tile to form a Sheung to win Nothing happened after I Shang/Sheung O_o? Wait a few seconds, priority is to Pong and Kong Why I can't win after completing 4 Melds and 1 Pair/Eye? You do not have enough tai I was supposed to win by declaring off the discard, but how come my opponent won? You are not fast enough, you should declare it earlier, be prepared next time Should I Kong or Pong? Once a Kong is formed, it cannot be split up, i.e., to use one tile as part of a Chow, and thus, it may be advantageous not to immediately declare a Kong, you can save one tile Will Kong results in imbalance of tiles? 小相公? 大相公? No, after Kong, the player must draw an extra tile from the back end of the wall How to conceal my Kong? Not possible in wahjong I accidentally threw a wrong tile! How? Better luck next round What is 0 Coward (鸡胡)? In Wahjong, coward is a winning by taking a discarded tile from opponents Frequently Asked Questions originally posted by admin What is the maximum points one can score in a match? The maximum points/tai/fan/hand is capped at 15. Does Wahjong follow Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan or China mahjong rules? Wahjong generally implements rules from Singapore and Hong Kong Mahjong, depending on the mode chosen, but not in its entirety as there are minute differences between everyone's rules. What happens when a player leaves the match halfway? The player gets a gold/experience penalty, and automatically discards tiles that he draws in subsequent rounds. OMG.. My mum is overtaking me in Wahjong rankings!! How? err.. play more and overtake her? Can my dad play Viwawa as well? Why not? But only if mommy allows. ChocolatePenguin Viwawa - Why Pong Alone?
