WHY it's called ** an ke? all four set of 4 of a kind is self drawn.

imagine this: you have 111 333 999 555 2 on hand. unexposed.
so you are waiting for a 2, am i right?
only this scenario . when one of the player throws a 2.
you win the game as hidden treasures. 13 tais.

example 2: you have 222 555 66 777 99. on hand unexposed.
so you are waiting for either a 6 or 9 to win, am i right?
this is consider as pong hu. only 3 tais. WHY? because you are waiting for 2 either tiles to win. hidden treasure, you wait for only 1 tile.

AND if, you have 222 555 66 777 99. and self drawn a either a 6 or 9.
its counted as hidden treasure also.

I still don't understand how to calulate money/thai in viwawa. for the example like above screen , you get x15,SO How much money you got. because i have won X2, and I got +9 money, but How come? sometime I didin't get hu but still + money, pls explain, thanks

oh thank you very much. and I want to know what the different between clear front and No flower as i think both is the same,

don have to ask about clear front. it merely means all cards are self drawn unexposed, and viwawa will not reward a tai more even if you have all tiles ready up in hands.

no flowers with all chow is ping hu 4 tais.
BUT if you are waiting for a 5X7, 7X9, 12X, X89 - these are called dan diao. which we call a middle card or a one end card. you will only win as 1 tai.


you know, its best you learn as you play. you are not writing a thesis for mahjong am i right? spoon fed system is a failing system. wanna learn something...: learn to play. see for yourself. we start from somewhere. we are not born with knowledge.

what happens if no one is going to answer you? in the end, we find out the answer on our own right?

how babies are made? we can answer the techical qtns, but for details,
you grow up , you know.. theories are useless. practical is all it is.

if my last 4 tiles are 45 and a pair of eyes, can i wait for 3 or 6 from all the players' discarded tile to win the game? I'm very confused because i cant seem to win the game even though someone threw the tile..

Something I don't understand:
I had a 'broken flower' - and my tiles were 123 345 567 67 RR (all bamboo)
I have gotten tiles from other people, I got the 1 and 3 from another player. Now i wait for 5 and 8 to game. Someone throw out a 5 the game did not allow me to eat someone threw out a 8, and again did not allow me to eat. I even self drawn a 8 myself, still did not let me eat. WHY? someone explain why it didn't allow me to win and also how is it possible to win with those tiles.

I just played again in HK, and i get 222(circles) 333(bamboo) 555(wan zi) 333(circles) and a W (white dragon) i have 1.2.3flower i self drawn another white dragon so i should win, but i didnt win they they force me to put white dragon out. all my pongs were from other's discard

can someone explain?
