Yes, far more.
So if your hand is good, or kind of good, you should bid. =D

Of course I also noticed that if you are the bidder or bidder's partner and you lose, you lose xp.

If you are opposition and you lose, you gain a small bit of xp.

Generally speaking, winning against players higher ranked than you will net you more ranking points, likewise, if you lose to someone lower ranked than you, you will lose more ranking points. So ranking is generally a measure of your skill and where you stand among fellow gamers.

Amount of ranking points you gain also determine how much more xp you get. Sorry for reigniting this thread. I thought your explanation on how ranking points is calculated and how it contributes to xp calculations was crystal clear and makes good sense to what we observe during gameplays and awarding of xp points after games.

Recently i noticed a wierdball case, appreciate if you could help to enlighten me and the affected party.

There's this player called seanislame, i noticed that he's gaining lower xp when partnering players like me and andym. So i thought he has a higher RP, or for that matter a better win-loss record, than both of us. After i checked, it didn't turn out that way. Details shown below:

seanislame: 2241 wins – 2097 losses = 144 wins nett (or win/loss ratio = 1.069)

Me: 4527 wins – 4222 losses = +305 wins nett (or win/loss ratio = 1.072)
Andym: 14397 wins – 12850 losses = +1547 wins nett (or win/loss ratio = 1.120)
