High ranking doesnt mean pro. How do people define pro? Who can judge? Can sages be the judge? You see people are fighting for ranking and the reasons are? Some people can play for like 18hours a day just to get the monthly top player badge and the reasons are? 18hours a day i dont think a human can do it. I think sages or robots which i would call them are able to. I think the nice golden badge shows how much of your precious time you can put in (unless you're a robot where time isnt an issue to you). Recognition for top robotic player. So where's the fun? Last thing which i dont want to forget to mention - i've seen someone posting in a few threads saying this who and who pro and i feel its like licking the ***** of these people in a public forum. Anyway its not prohibited so go ahead and have your say, ball-licker. Thats all for now

@otte
Of course I saw sissy's score, so low that I feel bad to mention earlier...@sissy, I bet you want call ppl ball licker if they mention your name too in the pro list, those ppl who praise others also don't get humble badge or anything... Just appreciation of good bw skills mah? ![]() Anyway, don't take it to heart, its just a game, no need to start flaming cos a bald guy beat you up. If the game can be rematch, I bet you and anson can beat them easily.

It is always easy to stand relaxed behind a competitor, pass comments and shake your heads when mistakes were made. Sometimes in a crucial game, the world's best players will make the worst mistakes due to pressure. Even when using an unfamiliar keyboard and extra sensitive mouse, the finalists had excellent performances in the earlier rounds that would erase any doubt of their skill, so please maintain some respect for the competitors and the competition if you have to criticize.
Ranking here indeed will not reflect on how a player fares in the competition as the gameplay and atmosphere is completely different. So please do not compare the two and make judgements based on them. Lastly, don't let the comments get too personal. They are seeds for flame.

Personal opinion:
I played with Sissywawa before and he's great at controlling the power bar - an essential and crucial skill of dealing low but indirect shots. He's really good with it then. Of course that was when I was playing with him with my main account quite some time ago. Could be due to the different atmosphere and environment if he happened to make mistakes. However, results in competitions doesn't reveal much about one's skills. _______________________________________________ Actually, I think that luck plays a huge component of this competition as where you spawn on the map would give you a huge advantage/disadvantage over the other team. An example would be Team A.1 spawning in between Team B.1 and Team B.2 with Team A.2 at the another side of the map. Though if this wasn't the issue, there's another possible flaw with the competition arrangement. The other flaw of this game lies in how the winner of the match was decided because a win was determined by KO-ing both opponents. Although it was a 3 round battle (correct me if I'm wrong), what happens if the above situation about the spawning spots happened to be in favour of Team A for all 3 rounds? Shouldn't having high, reverse, long shots precision allow you to gain an advantage because of the prediction and estimation it requires? Even if spawning wasn't a problem, isn't it better if those difficult shots were recognised? (I'm uncertain about the spawning spots as I only 1 in-match picture was captured and posted on the facebook page) Therefore, a suggestion for future Buffet Wars competitions would be that the scoring should be calculated by the amount of bonuses you attained in game per match (high, reverse, long) plus a huge extra bonus from a win (maybe 1000 to make it crucial). The total points obtained would determine which side wins the game. In my humble opinion, this would be a better and more efficient judging system as players that can do high, reverse and long shots would be better recognised for their skills. Don't forget the bonuses from Mineral Water and Fresh Milk as well. edit: Using tornado potato will cost some delay, and this little delay could decide the match, that's my point. If spawning spots are no longer random, then there's no issue with how the match will be won. Last edited by jm169; 17th March 2010 at 11:22 AM.
