Post Speedoku Arena (previously known as Competition)

After a month of preparation, Speedoku Arena playing mode is finally ready. Here are the details for this unique playing mode.

What's so special about Arena mode?
  1. Top players can win attractive prizes on a weekly basis.
  2. Only playing mode that earns rankings.
  3. Awards can only be earned in this playing mode. Awards are more special than the usual X number of wins or consecutive wins badges. They are earned by achieving special feats in the game.
  4. Arena playing mode earns even more gold and XP than Blitz playing mode.
  5. Did we mention the attractive prizes yet?

What are the requirements to participate in the Arena?
  • At least level 4 in Speedoku
  • Must possess an Arena pass

Here are the rules governing Arena playing mode.
  • Arena playing mode is played on a weekly basis, with each week starting on Tuesday 0:00AM and ending on Sunday 23:59PM, +8 GMT.
  • Each week will have its own set of Top Players, based on score earned throughout the week.
  • Arena playing mode uses only the Viwawa theme.
  • Arena playing mode is time-sensitive. You need to purchase Arena passes in order to get time that allows you to play in Arena matches. Please check the Item Shop for the various passes.
  • Arena match is similar to Blitz playing mode, up to 20 players may be playing on the same puzzle.
  • Each time you join an Arena puzzle, you are allocated 30 seconds. Within this time, you have to solve one square. Whenever you solve a square, you will be allocated another 30 seconds to continue playing on the puzzle. Your maximum allocated time is 60 seconds, regardless of how many seconds you have left. E.g. When you have 45 seconds left and you solved a square, your time is increased to 60 seconds, not 75 seconds. The maximum can be increased in the future through special items.
  • If time runs out before you solved any square, you will be removed from the puzzle and penalized.
  • If the puzzle is solved before you use the minimum of 30 seconds, the remaining time left will be refunded to you.
  • All time allocated is withdrawn from the time that you have purchased using the Arena passes.
  • Time for the Arena does not lapse even if the current week's timing is up. You can use the time for any Arena weekly period.

Example Scenarios
  • When you join a puzzle, 30 seconds have been deducted from your account. However, when the puzzle is solved when you have been in the puzzle for 10 seconds, the remaining 20 seconds will be refunded to you.
  • You leave the match when you have clocked 2 minutes and have 40 seconds remaining. The 40 seconds will be refunded back into your account since you have clocked the minimum number of time in a puzzle, i.e. 30 seconds.
