Year of the Rabbit Story Contest: Winner and Top 10 Stories
A man, who is a animal lover, is driving through a deserted road to visit his relatives during the 1st day of lunar new year. Suddenly he is informed that there will be 5 children at his relatives' house, but he only have 3 red packet with him, thus he starts to prepare the remaining two red packets while driving. a rabbit suddenly jump out from the side to the middle of the path. He came to a stop when he realize he have knocked down something, get out of his car to take a look. He is in shocked when he found out he knocked down a rabbit. Much to his dismay, the rabbit is dead. Feeling guilty and sad, he started crying.
A beautiful woman driving down the road sees a man crying on the side of the road and pulls over. She steps out of the car and asks the man what's wrong. "I feel terrible," he explains, "I accidentally hit this rabbit and killed it." The woman says, "Don't worry." She runs to her car, grabs a bag, and pulls out a spray can. She walks over to the and sprays the contents onto the rabbit. The man is sure the rabbit was dead, however it suddenly jumps up, waves its paw at the two of them and hops off down the road. Ten feet away the rabbit stops, turns around and waves again, he hops down the road another ten feet, turns and waves, hops another ten feet, turns and waves, and repeats this again and again and again, until he hops out of sight. The man is astonished. He runs over to the woman and demands, "What is in that can? What did you spray on that rabbit?" The woman reply, " I'm a beautician " Still confused, the man demanded to have a look at the can. The woman turns the can around to show him the label : "Hair Spray -- restores life to dead hair (hare) , adds permanent wave."  so.. Dont drive while preparing red packet... unless u have a can of that with u.. anyway.. the best gift for ur relatives is YOU, not red packets. sorry ah. tried to summarized still long

There's a poor widow who lived alone with her teenage son. She really loves her son and worked hard to pay his school fees. However her son often prefers to play viwawa with his friends and neglects his study which makes his mother sad.
One day her son was seriously sick so she brought her son to a local doctor. The doctor was unable to cure his sickness so he turned them away. Even after going to numerous doctors and spent all her savings, her son was still mysteriously sick. So she went to the temple and prays for her son recovery. The god was willing to help her but in exchange she has to fulfill one requirement. She would be transformed into a rabbit and has to stay at the temple as a pet. She would be able to transformed back to human for 1 day every 12 years which is on Rabbit Lunar New Year to visit her son. For her love for her son was so great, she agreed to the condition. After recovering from his sickness, the son heard about what his mother did to save him and felt deep regret that all the time when his mother was around, he never spent enough time with her. Now he needs to wait 12 more years to be able to hug his mother and say ‘I love you’. Moral of the story: Log out from Viwawa now and find your mom, hug her and say ‘I love you’. (If you lucky, she may get so happy and give you extra pocket money, then you can top up viwawa cash again!  )

A long long time ago there were three friends a monkey a fox and a rabbit. One day an old lady came up to them begging them for some food as she has been starving for days. The monkey harvested food from the trees, the fox stole food from other animals living in the forest. However the rabbit whom only knew of eating grasses and vegetation could not gave her what she normally had. So she jumped into the campfire the lady has built to offer her body for the old lady. Touched by her act of kindness and great sacrifice she revealed herself as the Queen Mother Of the West. She placed her body into the moon whereby it changed to a jade color and passed her to one of her daughters, Chang'e, who has been concocting the elixir of life so that the rabbit could continue to help people under her guidance, and people would be reminded of how she would sacrifice her life for the sake of man.
Those who were born on the year of the rabbit will be recognized as the kind people of this world. Especially those born on the year of the golden rabbit (this coming LNY) The moral of the story is that being kind to others is easy, but going to extra mile of sacrificing something is an act of kindness far greater. | |

Whenever Raller the rabbit sees a tiger, shivers would instantly tingle down her spine, sending shudders all over her body.
It was a calm and tranquil Lunar New Year afternoon. Puffy clouds as white as snow filled the azure blue sky and a huge bright orange ball tried to peek through. Raller was happily strolling in the park. Suddenly, she saw a ferocious tiger, whom she recognised from the day she went to the zoo. This tiger, whom everyone was fearful of, had escaped from the zoo! Raller stood rooted to the ground with her teeth chattering. When Raller went to the zoo the day before, she had seen zookeepers feeding this tiger with rabbits! Poor Raller immediately jumped away! However, this tiger, who was named Tigger, actually spoke to her! "Hello, may I know why you are running? I have a special treat for you, in a cave I had found. Come tonight. Do not be afraid of me, for I would not harm you." consoled Tigger gently. Yes, he was thinking for a treat for Raller but he was also thinking of a delicious rabbit...! Raller, thinking that absolutely nothing was wrong and that Tigger was kind, she said, "Oh, thank you Tigger. I would come to this cave tonight." Raller was indeed gullible! That night, Raller went to the cave. She saw lots of her favourite carrots and cabbages! What a feast, she thought. Tigger crept up behind her; and suddenly said, "How gullible you are! Hahaha!" Luckily for Raller, she was alert and saw two openings in the cave; and escaped! "What a close shave! Tigers are baddies!" Raller exclaimed, heaving a huge sigh of relief. "I had better not trust anyone that easily. Let's hope I would be luckier next Lunar New Year!" Moral: Tigers are baddies, never trust them! And shoo away if a stranger talks to you and don't be too gullible like Raller!

Once upon a time,
there was two rabbits that wanted to die because they always had bully by other animals. The rabbits were timid little animals, so they can be bullied easily. They were also easily frightened by everything including their own shadows. Every day they would wake up feeling sad. They did not want to live any longer. One day, two rabbits had a meeting. One of the rabbits said, "I don't want to live in this world any more. i want to die." The other rabbit agreed with the first rabbit. They agreed to die together. The two rabbits went to a pond. In the pond lived a group of frogs. The frogs were singing and playing happily in the pond. One rabbit say, "Let's dive into the pond so that we can drown together," His friend agreed. When the frogs saw the rabbits, they were frightened. They quickly escaped. They hid themselves in the pond. Only then did the rabbits realize something. One of the rabbits said, "Actually, we are not the only ones who are timid. There are animals that are more timid than us". However, they live happily and don't wish to die. In the end, the two rabbits did not wish to die any more. They went home happily. Moral of the story: If you don't feel very lucky, don't be sad. There are many people who are unluckier than you. | |

Once upon a time , there was a lion named Trema who always ruin the village where there were many rabbits living in. One day, one of the rabbits suggested , " I think to prevent the cruel lion, Trema from destroying our village , we will each give him our lives to not let him kill the young. When the time goes by , Trema agreed and every single day there were getting less rabbits. One day, it was time for the most brave father rabbit, Paul , to die. He quickly thought of a plan, but then he could not know what to do but to die.
All of a sudden, a light bulb shot into his head! He will trick the lion to test the lion's knowledge. When he was walking to the lion cave, he was taking his own sweet time and when he was near, he acted like he was rushing and feeling anxious, Trema the lion bellowed , " You are late! You look so small yet you were late! There should be five of you!" the rabbit started " I was with 5 of the rabbits but on our way we were stopped by another lion, he ate 4 of them and left me to pass to you this message. The lion bellowed and shouted , " Where is that lion!!!! I will show him who will be king!!!!!" The clever rabbit, Paul lead him to a deep water well. He pointed at it and said " There, he lived in this well" the lion saw the lion and jumped angrily and he was nowhere to be seen , he knocked onto a stone and die. The village hopped up and down for Paul's victory, he explained "He was stupid enough to thought that it was the lion in the well, its just his reflection!" The villagers all hopped excitedly and they lived happily ever after. ================================================== =============== The End This story shows that how the rabbit escaped from the ferocious lion, Trema and the rabbit was smart Moral of the story: Do not think you are the best one, who knows there would be other people smarter and better than you. | |

My name is Bula. I was a rabbit pet belonged to a boy named Wallace. When we first met, Wallace was talkative but I could feel emptiness in his heart. I was right. His family is broken and I almost never heard Wallace's mother voice in the house. I overheard that she's chasing up her rank in viwawa wahjong hence neglected her children.
Wallace and I got closed instantly; we played together every day and night. He even abandons his viwawa games to spend time with me. He would also tell me stories about his life and his past. I was very happy as I've finally met a friend with whom I can share my loneliness. Then 2011 comes. Wallace has changed. He became withdrawn. It's obvious my master has a huge problem but he kept it to himself. I tried to ch33r him up, running around his feet and acting cute to make him smile but he would just ignore me. For a month, I waited everyday for him to approach me, hoping that my companion can help ease his troubled heart. But he kept ignoring me, drowning himself with work and viwawa games.  My heart is broken as I feel that he no longer needs me as his friend. So I decided to leave as staying is too painful.  That Friday evening, I said my goodbye and runaway from my master's house. I went to a park where we used to play together, hoping that he would remember those sweet moments and find me there.Today is 31 of January 2011, rabbit lunar New Year is coming soon. Seeing rabbit posters everywhere; I hope it will remind him of me and our friendship. I'm still waiting here at the park, I won't lose hope... Moral of the story: Wall, if you read this, I know that you know who I am. It broke my heart to delete you from my msn and viwawa fren list, but it breaks my heart more to see you online, playing games every night to numb your pain. Once upon a time, there were 4 good friends with different character... rabbit was kind and quick-witted, monkey was playful yet smart, horse was well-tamed with a jovial heart and fox was sly and full of nonsense tricks.
One day, fox dug a hole covering with dried leaves... poor rabbit accidentally stepped and fell into it while hopping home. Fox then coated honey on tree branches... miserable monkey was stuck while swinging by. The smug fox laughed and mocked at them. They were furious, thus, decided to teach fox a lesson. Rabbit lied that horse rump was the most tastiest food, fox's eyes grew bigger with a drooling mouth. Monkey explained that fox must tied himself to the horse to prevent it from getting away. Hungry fox ran off to find the horse without hesitation, they followed secretly. Fox tiptoed towards the lying down sleeping horse and tied both their tails. The impatient fox bite on the horse rump. Horse woke up startled but could not get away from the fox, hence, running and dragging him. Fox shouted in pained and agony. Rabbit laughed so hard that he split his lip. Monkey jumped happily for joy but slipped and fell right on his bottom. This is why rabbits have a split lip and how monkeys got their red bottom! Horses will never lie down to sleep and foxes got their marks and patches on their backs from that bumpy ride! Since then, fox felt guilty and remorseful, thus, stop making tricks on friends. They live happily and harmony together... working hard to grow various crops such as carrots, bananas and wheat grasses. Every spring year, their crops will harvest and bloomed and they would call for a lunar new year gathering to enjoy a tasty meal and a fruitful year. --------------------------------------Happy Ending--------------------------------------- Moral of this story: To treasure friendship/kinship before losing it, live and stay in harmony to enjoy a happy yet fruitful year throughout. It was 1st day of lunar new year that the rabbit was busy preparing a sumptuous feast for his invited friends who will be coming to his house for a gathering and celebration. Just as he have done with his last dish, he suddenly heard a loud sound "PU DONG". He was so timid that he dare not peep at it but started to scream and run for his life, thinking that some monster is coming after him.
While fleeing, he saw all his friends(monkey, deer, chipmunk and donkey)... he shouted and asked them to run for life. They ran very fast until they could hardly catch their breadth then they saw their most ferocious friend - Lion king. Lion king came to know what have happen but was strange when he saw nothing was chasing after them. He then asked who have actually saw that monster "PU DONG"? None of them replied, the rabbit uttered in fear that he heard a "PU DONG" sound so he started to run for life. Lion king suggested that they go back to rabbit house and check it out, rabbit shouted and disagreed. Lion king assured him that everything will be fine since they were now together. Lion king led them to rabbit house but could not find any monster around. Just as they were wondering what could it be... one big pumpkin dropped hard onto the floor and give off that "PU DONG" sound. All of them were staring at each other for a second and soon broke into laughter. So that "PU DONG" was actually a ripen dropping pumpkin, the rabbit finally relieved. He brought out all the delicious food and all of them sat down to enjoy a tasty meal. "PU DONG" another pumpkin dropped, they laughed and enjoyed away. ---------------------------------------Happy Ending-------------------------------------- Moral of this story: 1) Rabbit's reaction - Though is over-reacting but where safety matters, just react to it as it is always better to play safe than to be sorry. 2) Rabbit and his friends - Stay unite... unity is the power, strength and force to fight off any invaders or ward off any dangers that face. Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there's a rabbit kingdom lead by a rabbit king named Big Tooth. It was Rabbit Lunar New Year's eve and all the rabbits citizens were celebrating the special event at the king's castle. In the middle of the party, suddenly they were attacked by their mortal enemy, the Itchy Pants clan.
The Itchy Pants soldiers launched their most powerful weapon, the Dirty Undies missile, to wreck the party. The missile exploded at the centre of the crowd, releasing thousands of dirty undies everywhere, creating an incredible stinky smell and unbearable itch upon contact with skin. The worst part, the dirty undies can fly,making them difficult to be captured. After the attack, all Itchy Pants soldiers retreated back to their secret hideout, rumour has it that they are collecting more dirty undies for the next attack. Frustrated by the chaos, the rabbit king Big Tooth announced, 'whoever managed to capture the most undies will received a special Lunar New year prize and a prestigious viwawa badge!' The reward tempted many of the strong rabbits to participate in the challenge. After a month of struggling, a powerful rabbit hero named Superrabbit defeated Ironrabbit, Ultrarabbit, and Spiderrabbit by catching the most dirty undies. Going back home after a month away, Superrabbit found that his carrot field has withered since no one has watered it. To add salt to the wound, his girlfriend dumped him afterwards as she can't stand the stink from the dirty undies. Sad and lonely, Superrabbit can only look at his prestigious viwawa badge for consolation.  Moral of the story: 1. To those players, who play day and night for so called prestigious top monthly badges, remember that viwawa is just a game, and you have a real life waiting for you to water them. 2. Wash your undies and always wear clean undies, if not, your girlfriend (or boyfriend) will dump you.
