Problem making 4th Lantern work in Sushido, just bought it too!!!! help please!!!

Please help me make my 4th Sushido Lantern work. I put the 3 x 3 tool as the 4th lantern, but only my first 3 lanterns work.

What do I do?, I often need more supplies for my recipes, because they run out in the grid. The other lanterns I have are bought by gold only; therefore, I only get 6 eggs and 6 tuna; 6 prawn and 6 roe; and 6 octopus and 6 cucumbers. I couldn`t afford to buy all eggs, all tuna all cucumber etc for cash.

I have 3 additional tools, make ingredients fall down in 1 column; make ingredients come from 1 line of grid; and finally, the 3 x 3 tool to make area fall down, which is the one I chose to help me get more ingredients or points, but it isn`t working. Please advise me if you know anything about this. The 3 x 3 is in the 4th lantern already and when I press it nothing falls down, but maybe I have to press it and then point to an area????? Thank you in advance.

After clicking on the 3x3 skill, you need to select the area on the board to choose where the ingredients will be removed.
