When I bid without writing "try", it means that I have around 90++% confidence in fulfilling the contract (ie: for a 4 bid, I have counted only 3 losers, and expecting partner to win only 1 set with his card that I called). When I bid with writing "try", it means that I have less confidence in fulfilling the contract (ie: for a 4 bid, I have counted 4 losers or more, and expecting partner to win 2 or more sets (4 losers means partner needs to win 2 sets, 5 losers means partner needs to win 3 sets, etc)). Hence I hope that someone understands that not all bids are trying. Some bids are really just "cash out", if the cards are really good. Thanks to all. Happy holidays! | |
