Same theory as dish. It boosts the existing stats on your equipment, usually defence and movement points.

I UPGRADE MY CAR,CANNON AND BUNNY HEAD, BUT LIKE NO DIFFERENCE TO THE STATS IN TERMS OF defence and movement points. EVEN THE NORMAL STR USING WASABI DOESNT ADD UP TO THE DEFENCE POINTS. I ASSUME THAT IT'S NOT BEING IMPLEMENTED AT THE MOMENT, IS IT?

Those stats are hidden, so you can't see them in the item description of your equipments.
As for the significance in the added defense and movement points, I don't think they are that obvious, but they should be there I think.
STR from Wasabi isn't used for increasing defenses. STR increases your max HP instead.

+1 +2 +3 etc to your equipment only increases the defence and movement points by a little.

Similarly, +1 +2 +3 etc to your dishes only increases the damage by a little.

+STR only affects your HP when item is equipped.
+INT only affects your delay when item is equipped.

Usually difference between +0 and +1 is not significant at all. You'll only see some difference when you have significant number of upgrades on all your equipment.

Are Explotion Radius & Weight increase during upgrade?

Why the + damage is not shown?
Why it must be hidden?
If the +Defence,+Movement, +Damage shown it will be easy to compare...

the weight and explosion radius are not increase if not you will be having troubles shooting with heavy food. the + is not shown i am not sure about that, but they are added. like straw berry which is originally 120 damage when +1 it becomes 126 damage.

Why is it that when i upgraded higher dishes , for instance lv2 chili's , i try upgrading and going up to +3 always , then when i go for 4 its fails to 0. I know its random , but so far this has happened 3 times so far?.... Get my coconut to 3 and try 4 , fails. Get my croissant to 3 and try for 4 and it fails. Thus another try on my croissant adding 3 and fails again trying for 4. Right now my coconut is at +3 again , following this pattern , kinda do not want to try for 4. This pattern is a bit lame(some) << random lol. I thought that its suppose to be random right? But 3/3 tries all failed hmm?

Definitely it will, but most people don't use it - don't trust that it helps personally.
