Just picked up Mahjong a few weeks ago, what I learnt was the 3-3-3-3 2 combination , upon achieving this you'll win the match. However in the menu room, the channels are grouped accordingly to the number of 'Tai's' it is based on. So there are channels with 0 tai's 1 tai, 2 tai and so on. My question is , what's the difference between 0 tai , 1 tai and 2 tai? Please post screenies and whether gold/xp reward will be greater for each channel

This is better picked up with a proper rule book. You have to learn to recognise the flowers, the types of tiles which will give you tai, such as the red dragon, white board, green fa, etc...
Combinations of such tiles also can give multiple tai's I believe this game is based more on the local Singapore rules for Mahjong, do watch out when reading rulebooks for other locations such as Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taiwan, they can be pretty different.
