Loo is actually an informal term (British I think). Not officially a word in formal dictionaries.

if anyone is interested i discovered the pattern to the scoring system (excluding the bonuses that is)
it starts off with the smallest word being 3 letters for 1 point then for each 1 letter increment the points double.
i.e. 3 letters=1 point
4 " =2 "
....
6 " =8 "
7 " =16"
8 " =32" and so forth

P.S. and for those who like to do math, it becomes an geometric series!
