1. Why am I able to move my general into the same file (column) as the opponent's general and there are no other pieces in between them?

The Flying General is a valid and active move, meaning you need to actively move your piece to capture your opponent's general. Likewise, the general can move into the same file (column) as the opponent's general.


2. What's up with the drabby uniforms and farming tools in the chess pieces?

This is key signature of Dynasty Chess, different sets of chess pieces will be available as you gain levels. Thus the "Peasant" set is what you see as a low level player. Watch out for our "military-grade" chess pieces!


3. I can't see or load Dynasty Chess on my computer?!

Dynasty Chess requires the latest version of Flash player to be installed on your web browser. Please visit http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-FLASH to make sure your Flash player is up to date.


4. Why is the monthly ranking table still empty?

For the month of August 2008, there will be no monthly ranking for Dynasty Chess as we iron out the kinks during this testing phase.

But come September 2008, we will be introducing a new ranking system that is based on ranking points, a system similar to how actual competitive players are ranked, according to how they play and who they play against. So, you can be sure that top players are *really* that good and not just time-wasting "farmers".


5. I just purchase "XYZ" chess piece set but it is not showing up when I play a match.

You have to activate the chess piece set that you have just bought. To do this, click on the Game Settings button in the game lobby (the Dragon Seal button). In the Game Settings window, select the chess piece set that you have just purchased. If you did not purchase it, you will not be able to select it. Click on the tick to save your settings.

I have not play chinese chess for about 20 years so I thought I have forgotten the rule when my general meet the opponent's general (in-line) and nothing happen.
But when my general move in-line with the opponent general for a second time, there was no warning but his general actually fly over and it was game over for me !?!?!?! Is it a bug ?

Oh, the flying general has to be activated by clicking my general to fly over to killing opponent's general ? Although this can be done, but I think a warning to the opponent will be nice too.

Why not implement the ranking system in August? What u mean by testing phase? Last time when zany was out( sometime during end of mth), Admin also give the monthly trophy! How come this time different?

walao admin, the bug on jiang movement is getting worse. My jiang can't move down and can only move up, cost me to lost a game to a lvl4 for nothing ( i got the advantage on seeds and time). Piangz :L

I have lost quite a number of games due to movement bug, and always happen at the crucial time :funk

What is happening today??? When the game start can't move at all. Leave the game and got almost 100 xp pts deducted for panalthy for continous two games :funk

One more game, minus another 50xp pts.so today i got 6 lost for nothing....:funk can't play at all, try again minus again.

I found out if u start a game.. and you put the char ';' in the title you cannot move your chess pieces..
