1) Pet system (beta) You can now bring a pet into any battle! Introducing the first pet in Buffet Wars.. Meowzer! ![]() Each pet may have different abilities which are triggered with a certain percentile chance. The first pet, Meowzer, has healing abilities! ![]() Pet attributes Your pets gain the same amount of XP as you if you bring them into matches. Rate: Percentage chance that your pet will invoke it's skill Power: Extent of the skill. e.g. Heal 5 means it will heal 5 points each time it is invoked e.g. If your pet has Heal Power: 5 Heal Rate: 5% It means that at your turn, there is a 5% chance that your pet will heal you for 5HP. Leveling your pet Your pet gains experience together with you (25% of what you gain) when you bring it into a match, but does not get any experience from quest completion. For every 5 levels, you get a chance to upgrade either the rate or power of your pet, the increment for each attribute is specific to each pet. For Meowzer, the upgrade increment is as follows: Heal Power: +3HP per upgrade Heal Rate: +2% per upgrade The current level cap for all pets is 25. After reaching level 25, your pet will not gain anymore experience points. Pet happiness Pets require a minimum happiness of 10 if you wish to bring it to battle. It's happiness decreases gradually over time, and can be replenished with pet food. One portion of the pet food replenishes about 24 points of happiness. For Meowzer, happiness decreases by 1 per hour. Each match that your pet joins will also decrease it's happiness by 0.3. It is generally more worthwhile to bring your pet into matches with more players. If you ignore your pet until it's happiness reaches 0, don't worry, it does not disappear. You can always feed it later when you want to use it. Pet name You can name your pet, but it can only be done ONCE. It is permanent and can never be changed. So think carefully before confirming the name. Pet equipment You can decorate your pet with a small range of accessories. These accessories do not change your pet's capabilities. After equipping your pet, remember to click on SAVE! Pet types The first pet is Meowzer, but more pets will be available in the future (exact type of pets will be confirmed at a later date). How fast they are introduced depends on the popularity of the pet system. You are welcome to post suggestions for the next pet. ![]() Please visit the Pet Suggestion thread to post your suggestions: http://www.viwawa.com/forums/pet-sug...ead.16349.html 2) Defense points The defense points in Buffet Wars now have a slightly greater effect. Earlier, many players complained that buying new equipment with higher defense was useless. It was indeed known to be minimal, so the effect has been increased. All computer characters have ZERO defense while human players typically have 100+ defense points when fully equipped and at a relatively high level. New enemies in the future will start to have defense points with increasing difficulty. 3) STR/INT release ![]() STR and INT release tools allow you to de-allocate STR or INT points in your character profile. Each release de-allocates 5 points. They are sold in packs of 5, so each pack allows you to de-allocate up to 25 points. 4) New skill slots ![]() Due to popular demand, the maximum skill slots have been increased from 6 to 9. The new skill slots are accessible to players from level 18 onwards. 5) Wind disturbance ![]() This new skill allows you to trigger a change in current wind conditions instantly. This is usually used as a defensive skill when your enemies have locked on to your position. The change in wind direction and power is random, so there is a chance that the change is small. 6) Boss attack frequency Boss does not attack in every turn now. But it will have more turns. Ultimately, it will attack at the same rate as before.

Quest XP is not included. XP is awarded only to the pet at the end of a match if you bring the pet into the match.

Both. If you don't use the pet at all, one packet of pet food can last about 30 days. Each match decreases the Meowzer's happiness by about 0.3. This decrement is different for each pet.

2) It is an interesting idea. Will be considered. 3) Meowzer can only heal at your turn. Basically if the heal rate is 5%, whenever it's your turn, there is a 5% chance that it will heal you. It is independent on the number of turns taken by other players.

The Meowzer cannot attack. It's specialty is in healing. There would be other pets for attacking.

The exact list of pets to be released in the future is not confirmed yet, though we have some candidates. We may introduce some benefits for having multiple pets, so no worries on having more.

Nothing will happen. But you cannot bring your pet into battle when happiness is less than 10.
It will drop gradually over the days until it reaches 0.

If they buy a male and female version, they may even mate and reproduce more. Last edited by Xiangqi_Demon; 8th September 2010 at 03:37 PM.
