Affinity is somewhat like points you get for certain classes of dish. Like dumpling is main dish, strawberry is a dessert. Let's say you have more than 1 strawberry in your active inventory, your affinity for dessert increases. That in turn increases all the damage of dishes under that class.

Yes there is. If you want to increase your main dishes' affinity, then you bring more main dishes into the game. If you want to increase your snacks' affinity, then you bring more snacks into the game. Likewise, if you want to increase you desserts' affinity, just bring more desserts into the game.

there is no difference between the with the dish slots. They just add a slot for u to get 1 more dish into the game
