is not "broken" If this happened to be a new player, I would have explained it to him/her not to do this in the next round. However, there are other veteran players who are playing trump cards before it is "broken". This spoils the whole original game of Bridge. Moreover, the player that was doing it was someone in the top 10 ladder ( which I shall not mention here ), and he said there is no need to "break trump" in viwawa. For the Bridge veterans out there, I hope you feel the unfairness and frustration that I had to go through during the game. I left after that without commenting on his ****ish way of playing when he is a veteran.:@ I hope the admin can fix this problem, and to all other veterans out there I hope all of you would play Bridge as we always play with the original and standard rules of Bridge.

correct me if im wrong cos i just learnt bridge from viwawa haha.
@ myth_ trump means the suit/colour that was chosen in the contract bid. if contract shows 2 Spade, means the trump is spade and can win any other suits IF you dont have the suit of the 1st card thrown. im not so sure about breaking trump but does it means that trump should only be used to follow (eat) other ppl cards and not be used on the 1st card? haha well its quite frustrating if ure a seasoned bridge player haha but here at Viwawa.com, they like to be something different and not exactly the same as b4. perhaps due to copyright infringement or to create more pleasure? a good example of not following the original would be Wahjong. Pang Se (aka half colour) and Pong Pong(aka 3 of a kind) in the real world is 2 tai(2 hand) but in Wahjong its regarded as 3. just my 2 cents tho.

quoted from wikipedia:
"The other less-agreed-upon rule is the drawing of trumps. Some people play by the rule that the drawing of trumps can only begin when the player drawing trumps already has a void suit, whilst some play by the rule that drawing can be done at any point in the game." guess the breaking of trump is not a universal rule but would be gd if it's included.

It would be good to impose the 'breaking-trump' rule.
And one more thing, if a bidder has won the bid via NT.. he should start throwing out the cards first.

Agreed. Ppl who bidded NT shd start the game first and break thrump rule shd be in place. This is spoiling the game! That is not how bridge shd be played! Hopefully the administrators can do something abt it.

yeah trump shouldn't be broken before it has been played. this gives advantage to those non-bidders who are playing a trump game of probably 4 something?
and anyway those who do not know how to play will randomly put a card, and maybe put a trump suit, in favour of either his partner or opponent, which would be unfair for the rest. I would hope the admin could change some settings to disable playing trump before it has been broken.

Yes I totally agree and empathise with all of you here. Break Trump should be implemented. It's really very frustrating to see ppl throwing out trump cards when it hasn't been broken.
Admin pls see to this thanks!

Basically, the whole concept of breaking trump is a tactical move for those with more trump cards than the rest, i'll be at a upper hand if i leech away opponent's trump cards and be dominating the table instead of letting u all break my big cards with your pathetic small trump. So please don't make a big commotion bout breaking the trumps if u're having a good hands, and are expecting to win, breaking trumps is just a faster way to win.

well in contract bridge you dun need to break trump before you can play trump.

well right now u need to break trump, n the winner of the NT will get to start first. So which is a very gd improvement to the bridge. However, i still experience bug like one of the card is hidden behind the rest n unable to see wat it is. At least not like last time whereby half of the cards r hidden, so hope to see more improvement to it. THanks for everything tho.
